Years ago I had a nightmare about a creature I referred to as an angel. Since then I have made efforts to re-create this creature in my art. None of them had captured the mystery and frightening awe I felt in that dream until version 3, which is the art you see before you. To create the blurry paint effect I used a texture brush with a low opacity layered over multiple times. That's what gives this piece its signature mirage look.
